I was born on a dark and stormy night on a little farm in Kansas. Except the Kansas farm thing's not true. I am addicted to coffee, even though I don't drink it. I like to set my fan at level 2. My favorite Beatle is Paul because he's the cute one. I can sing the Greek alphabet, and I love to staple paper. And put food in tupperware containers! I have a paper plate on my wall that says, "The deepest questions can't be asked with words." I don't use jelly on my peanut butter sandwiches, and sometimes I do realize. I read Jones soda bottle caps religiously, and then build intricate spirals out of them on my wall. My television is set to Turner Classic Movies; I love Vermont and Michigan; I have become my grandmother. I have a crazy Kleenex box (which is not always true, but let's think I'm that type of person). I am obsessed with fonts and their subsequent identification. I eat my Oreos like Ross and Rachel. I am morally against the writing of academic essays: theses belong nailed to church doors, nowhere else. A few things that spark my interest: Writing (Novel, Poetry, Short Story, Children's Literature, Creative Non-fiction, Pseudo-Journalism), Iowa, Michigan, Vermont, Fairy Tales, magical realism, Folio Society, spice racks, canonical texts, Home Depot paint samples, archetypes, the grocery store, the complete annihilation of Comic Sans and Papyrus, typography in general, interconnectedness, coloured staples, terry underwear, British spelling, incest, cough drops, Arthurian Legend, folklore, the monomyth, LRRH, sponges, hic haec hoc, Studio-Era Hollywood, silent films, talkies, fireplaces, Dada, the Beats, calculus, boko-maru, pi, M-Theory, the collective unconscious, the Dictionary, Andy Warhol, the electromagnetic spectrum, Tarot, the biomes, roller coasters, coasters, spiral staircases, clouds, synesthesia, glass slippers, Schrodinger's Cat, Photoshop and InDesign, Eastern Philosophy, dream analysis, the Feminist Critique of literature, lyricism, Communism, cottages, the forest, dialogue, homemade crossword puzzles, shaking bottles of salad dressing, old typewriters, unicorns, dinosaurs, Moh's Scale of Hardness, That's What She Said, alchemy, childhood pop culture, ebay, cutting out laminated things, the Poetry Fair, Halloween, The Floor Socket that Symbolizes the Universe, World's Fairs, Venn diagrams, T-charts, using "said" as the only dialogue tag even with questions, first person present tense, and the passive voice.
